How AI Tools may be used in our hiring process

Depending on the role and location, AI Tools may be used to assist with the following recruiting and hiring activities:

Job content creation

PTC may use AI Tools to help draft or refine job descriptions and related recruiting content. Any such content is reviewed by our recruiting team before it is used.

Matching

AI Tools help us find prospective candidates who may be a strong match based on their skills and experience.

Application support

AI Tools may help pre-populate or organize portions of an application based on information you submit, to help streamline the application process.

Screening

AI Tools may help compare application materials against job-related criteria, such as required skills, qualifications, or experience, to assist recruiters and hiring teams in screening applications.

Assessments

For some roles, PTC may use job-related assessments that include AI-enabled features. Where used, these tools are intended to help evaluate relevant skills or qualifications and to support the integrity, consistency, and fairness of the assessment process.

PTC does not rely solely on AI Tools to make final hiring decisions; human reviewers remain involved in the decision-making process.

Prohibited AI use by candidates

Using AI to generate false or misleading experiences, skills or qualifications on your resume or cover letter
Using AI to complete assessments (coding challenges, language tasks, etc.) unless explicitly stated otherwise
Using AI products during interviews to generate answers to questions for you
Using voice cloning or deepfake tools

These uses violate our responsible AI principles and can result in disqualification.

We use proctoring tools and AI-detection methods to ensure a level playing field.
