Description
- LAX_VM Java requirement error when installing Service Packs for Windchill PDMLink.
- Unable to re-start the Windchill server after updating the JDK
- Unable to lunch PTC Solution Installer with error below
Java VM does not exist
- The following error is thrown during when initiating the installation:
LAX_VM is not set to Java 1.8 update 202 or later.
- Setting the LAX_VM environment variable to refer to a Java 1.8 installation leads to another error when running the installer:
LAX_VM is not set to Java 11 or later. The installer will now terminate.
Or
LAX_VM is not set to Java 11 or later Or There is no Java 11 set on machine The installer will not terminate.
- The following error is thrown when initiating Windchill 13.1 installation:
LAX_VM is not set to Java 21 or later. The installer will now terminate. - For Linux: (below error has been reported in command line interface)
Graphical installers are not supported by the VM. The console mode will be used instead…
Or
Windchillds installer appears to have failed to start. Its PTC and/or XML log is missing.
