Missing links in "Site" > "Utilities" for Administrators after importing license files or upgrading Windchill PDMLink

Description

  • Icons, actions, links, menus, or the Search option are missing from the Windchill Home page or Site > Utilities after a Windchill upgrade or license-file import
  • Administrators cannot access License Management after importing a new Windchill license file
  • The Site Administrator or wcadmin user cannot access Site > Utilities
  • Most links disappear from Site > Utilities or Organization > Utilities
  • Site utilities option are not available
  • Type and Attribute Management, Participant Administration, Policy Administration, Products, Libraries, Projects, object information pages, Move, or other administrative actions are not visible
  • Site user issue is there for Object information page
  • The issue may affect one administrator, several administrators, or selected nodes in a clustered environment
  • The issue can occur inconsistently when administrator accounts belong to disabled, restrictive, or invalid profiles and groups
  • Common errors and Method Server log messages include: 
    • Status Code: 403. Attention: You do not have permission to access this page. Contact your administrator if you believe you have received this message in error.
    • [commonScheduleQueue.SchedulingThread] wt.access.ViewAndPrintAccessEvaluator wcadmin - License group PTC_WINDCHILL_ADVANCED_LICENSEis not available in the cache.This is not valid license.

       

    • ERROR [pool-9-thread-1] wt.licenseusage.licensing.PaidLicenseManager - Failed to acquire license from trusted storage. Mandatory feature are either missing or all features are expired.
ERROR [pool-9-thread-1] wt.licenseusage.licensing.LicenseScheduledTask - License error : Capability Response is null.
