BOSTON – September 17, 2020 – PTC (NASDAQ: PTC) today announced that, for the second year in a row, its Vuforia® augmented reality (AR) solutions suite has been named a “Best in Class” technology in the latest PAC RADAR vendor analysis. In the report, entitled “Open Digital Platforms for the Industrial World in Europe 2021: Platforms for Connected Workers (AR),” PTC is positioned as top vendor in both “competence” and “strength in the marketplace.”
The PAC RADAR report by teknowlogy is a holistic evaluation and visual positioning of software and service providers. The report evaluates and compares providers’ strategies, development processes, and respective market positions, as well as their performance and competencies within specific market segments. The specific criteria for open digital platforms for connected workers – the category in which AR products were assessed – addressed industrial use cases, device flexibility and hardware-related interoperability, application and data integration with other technologies – PLM, IoT, and ERP – and portfolio quality, based on customer references.
“PTC is proud to be recognized as the leading industrial enterprise AR provider for the second year in a row by the PAC RADAR Analysis” said Mike Campbell, executive vice president and general manager of augmented reality products, PTC. “This achievement underscores our commitment to developing a suite of best-in-class augmented reality solutions that empower connected workers and address key use cases across the value chain, further validating our market and product strategies.”
“For the second consecutive year, PTC received top scores among all AR vendors in both ‘competence’ and ’strength in the marketplace’,” explained Arnold Vogt of teknowlogy Group. “The results speak to PTC’s continued investment and maturity in the AR market, and its commitment to offering a broad suite of AR solutions for industrial enterprises.”
