  Download Success Path IMPORTANT: When saving the file, in the Print window please do the following:
Destination or Printer: select Save as PDF
More Settings: In the Options, be sure the boxes Headers and footers and Background graphics are selected.

Manage Devices

Keep your devices up to date with the latest versions of Vuforia Expert Capture applications.

01. Update Vuforia Capture on devices

Update your eyewear devices regularly to ensure they remain secure and stable. You will update the eyewear device operating system and the Vuforia Capture app. PTC releases a new version of Vuforia Capture every 28 days. You need to take extra steps to install updates depending on which eyewear devices you use.

If you are not permitted to install software updates, contact your company's IT department or administrator. They may have a process for updating devices on employees' behalf.

Microsoft HoloLens and Magic Leap eyewear devices

If your HoloLens or Magic Leap device is connected to the internet, they will update the Vuforia Capture app automatically when a new version is released. You may need to sign in to the app after the device updates.

RealWear eyewear devices

To update Vuforia Capture on RealWear eyewear devices, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to PTC eSupport. You'll need a PTC support account.
  2. Download the latest Vuforia Capture APK.
  3. Add the downloaded software to the RealWear Explorer.

Devices must be connected to the internet to update.

You will need to update each device individually. Unless you are using RealWear Foresight, which allows you to update multiple devices at one time.

You may need to sign in to the app after the update is installed.

02. Vuforia Editor updates automatically

Vuforia Editor will update automatically—there’s no need to update, download, or install anything.

03. Update Vuforia Vantage and Vuforia View on devices

PTC releases new versions of the Vuforia Vantage and Vuforia View apps every 28 days. Keep your viewing apps updated on all devices to ensure users can execute procedures without software issues. You may need to take extra steps to install updates depending on your devices.

If you're not permitted to install software updates, contact your organization's IT department or administrator. They may have a process for updating devices on employees' behalf.

Vuforia View no longer available for mobile devices and tablets

On May 27, 2021, you must switch from Vuforia View to Vuforia Vantage if you’re using mobile and tablet devices. Vuforia View will no longer be available for accessing Vuforia Expert Capture procedures.

If you’re using eyewear devices (not including Magic Leap devices) to view procedures, you’ll continue using Vuforia View.

Mobile devices and tablets

The latest version of Vuforia Vantage is available for your supported mobile devices and tablets in the iOS and Android app stores.
