When shooting an interview, always follow basic photographic rule of thirds principles and basic 3-point lighting principles. Use a chip chart at the beginning of an interview for our editors in post-production—especially if shooting in a ‘raw’ or un-graded picture profile.
Use a slate with the following information written clearly:
Production:
Name: (first and last name of person being interviewed with correct spelling)
Director: Name of production company handling interview
Workfront ID: (if provided) is the 5-digit code beginning with W. For example W12345
Camera Model / FPS
Today’s date
