At the child level of PTC brands, we visually use the child brand names as simple word marks without logos. We must consider how these child brands are used, both graphically and in text.
Graphics
In full-color graphics, the parent name will always be rendered in PTC Green and the product/entity name in PTC Gray. When the graphic is used in black and white, a 1-point stroke must be applied to the parent name to give it more emphasis. All type should be in lowercase, and the Questrial Regular font must be used.
Headline and body copy
Either the primary typeface PTCRaleway Bold, Open Sans Semi Bold, or Century Gothic Bold can be used.
Note: In most cases where the child brands are used, the parent logo and the PTC brand logo will also be present.
Style Preferences for Parent Brands and Child Names
Product names do no need an article (for example ‘the’) in front of them in any instance.
Example: ThingWorx Asset Advisor is preferred over The ThingWorx Asset Advisor…
Product names may be made possessive in all cases.
Example: ThingWorx Asset Advisor’s role in…
Product names should be initial capped in all mentions. After the first mention, they do not have to include the PTC or Parent Brand but we try to include the Parent Brand as much as possible to increase recognition. It is okay to use acronyms first mention.
Example: ThingWorx Digital Performance ManagementTM (DPM) from PTC in first mention. Digital Performance Management or DPM on subsequent mentions.
