“PLM is now viewed as an enterprise-wide business system. As such, the standards for a market-leading PLM system have been elevated. PTC provides a leading portfolio to support those changes. The company continues to execute a winning PLM vision and strategy,” noted James Iversen, the authoring analyst of ABI Research’s report. “The company remains highly committed to innovating their solutions and exploring new ways in which their customers can attain business value using PLM."

Iversen continued, “Manufacturing enterprises excel using Windchill because the solution seamlessly integrates with in-house and external enterprise software while providing great time to value (TTV) and proficiency for new users. Arena distinguishes itself as a cloud-native PLM solution that’s widely used among large manufacturers in the high-tech and life sciences industries."

Windchill’s installation base is growing. Manufacturers are extending the various ways in which engineering, manufacturing, service, supply chain, and quality stakeholders are leveraging product data in PLM.

PTC earns this recognition in ABI Research’s PLM report following the research firm’s CAD-focused competitive assessment which named PTC Creo the #1 Innovation Leader. As mentioned in both reports, manufacturers leveraging these PTC solutions together receive exceptional business value and extend the power and potential of both PLM and CAD.

Mark Lobo, PTC’s General Manager of Windchill, had this reaction: “Our team is very excited to see PTC honored as the Outright Leader, especially given the strength of the field. We believe to our core that Enterprise PLM has become critical for early collaboration and continuous feedback loops between all enterprise functions – from engineering and manufacturing all the way to supply chain and service. Manufacturers need not only world-class product development but digital transformation across the enterprise. PLM is essential to that digital thread. We can’t wait for what’s next.”

Arena, PTC’s cloud-native PLM solution, consistently outpaces the market by expanding its loyal installation base and showcasing a strategic vision that exemplifies the company's unwavering commitment to PLM product innovation and customer excellence.

David Katzman, General Manager of Arena and Onshape, had this reaction: “We're very excited to see PTC at the top spot as the #1 Leader, especially with the tough competition in this report. Since being acquired by PTC, Arena has seen consistent growth and customer adoption. Arena believes in the power of connecting design and manufacturing processes. With Arena's real-time collaboration across distributed teams and supply chains, we make it easy for leading companies to deliver innovative products.”
