PTC FlexPLM® selected by Witt-Gruppe to transform product development across its multi-brand retail business

  • Leading fashion retailer for women 50-plus selects FlexPLM Cloud to unify product lifecycle management across five brands and nine countries
  • Enterprise PLM platform will streamline product development, improve collaboration, and support greater agility and sustainability across the organization

PTC is proud to announce that Witt-Gruppe, part of the Otto Group and one of Germany's leading omni-channel retailers, has selected PTC's FlexPLM solution to transform and modernize its product development processes across its portfolio of brands.

With annual revenues exceeding €1.2 billion, operations spanning nine countries, and a portfolio of five distinct retail brands, Witt-Gruppe manages a complex product landscape that requires close collaboration across design, development, sourcing, and supply chain teams. As consumer expectations, market dynamics, and sustainability requirements continue to evolve, Witt-Gruppe recognized the need for a scalable, enterprise-grade PLM platform capable of supporting future growth and driving greater operational efficiency.

Witt-Gruppe selected FlexPLM Cloud to establish a unified product lifecycle management platform spanning the entire product creation process—from design and development through sourcing and commercialization. By replacing fragmented processes and eliminating data silos, FlexPLM will provide a single source of truth for product information, improve cross-functional collaboration, and streamline go-to-market processes across all Witt-Gruppe brand concepts.

During the evaluation process, PTC demonstrated FlexPLM's ability to support complex, multi-brand and multi-category retail environments at enterprise scale, including its robust integration capabilities, and strategic product and AI roadmap. The platform's ability to manage large product portfolios while supporting thousands of internal and external users, without performance degradation was a key consideration in Witt-Gruppe's selection process. The platform will enable Witt-Gruppe to modernize product development operations across apparel, accessories, footwear, hardgoods and other categories, improve organizational agility, enhance visibility into product data, and support evolving sustainability initiatives.

Florian Dohn, Head of futureIT, Witt-Gruppe, said: "As our business continues to evolve, we were looking for a proven PLM platform capable of supporting the complexity of our multi-brand operating model while enabling greater efficiency, collaboration, and transparency across the product lifecycle. FlexPLM provides the scalability, functionality, and strategic vision we need to support our future growth objectives."

With FlexPLM and its broader portfolio, PTC continues to deliver on its vision of transforming the enterprise through the Intelligent Retail Product Lifecycle, enabling retailers and brands to establish a trusted product data foundation and extend the value of that data across their organization. By connecting teams, processes, and product information within a unified platform, organizations can accelerate decision-making, improve operational performance, and unlock new opportunities for innovation and growth.

"We are delighted to welcome Witt-Gruppe to the FlexPLM community," said Kyle Marden, Vice President and General Manager, Retail Business Unit, PTC. "Witt-Gruppe's investment in FlexPLM reflects the growing need for modern retail organizations to establish a connected and scalable product development foundation. We look forward to partnering with Witt-Gruppe as they transform their product lifecycle processes, improve organizational agility, and support the future growth of their business."
