Reactions forces at constraints are not calculated if a rigid link is present in Creo Simulate

Modified: 28-Mar-2024

Applies To

  • Pro/MECHANICA and Creo Elements/Pro Mechanica Wildfire 4.0 to Wildfire 5.0
  • Creo Simulate 1.0 to 9.0
  • Creo Parametric 1.0 to 10.0

Description

  • Reaction forces at constraints are not calculated if a rigid link is present near the constraint.
  • In prestress simulation, reaction forces located at constraints are not shown in results with Wildfire 5.0 when checking Combine Results.... option.
  • In Wildfire 4.0 both reaction forces are displayed independently if combine results... is checked or not.
  • Warning: Reaction measurexxx can not be evaluated and will be assigned a value of zero. This problem has occurred because there are multi-point constraints (MPCs) near the reaction measure. MPCs may occur in models with mixed or incompatible meshes, links, fasteners, or user coordinate system (UCS) constraints.
