"ERROR: java.rmi.ConnectException: Connection refused to host" displayed on Server Status page in the Windchill Directory Server section in Windchill

Description

  • Server Status page shows below in the Windchill Directory Server section:
ERROR: java.rmi.ConnectException: Connection refused to host displayed
  • If a Windchill cluster environment, it will be also very slow to display the Server Status page
  • Server Status page shows below, note the hostname
ERROR: java.rmi.ConnectException: Connection refused to host ###.###.###.###; nested exception is:
java.net.ConnectionException: Connection timed out: connect
  • The MethodServer log shows below, note the hostname or IP address and JMX Port
wt.util.jmx.WDSJMXConnector - Error connecting to JMX URL: service:jmx:rmi:///jndi/rmi://<WindchillDS_host_name>:<JMX Port>/org.opends.server.protocols.jmx.client-unknown

  • Server Status Page shows below error for Slave 1 of dedicated cluster:
ERROR: java.rmi.ConnectException: Connection refused to host ###.###.###.###
  • Unable to see Method Server from Slave 1 in Server Status Page
  • When Server Status Page is opened for clustered environment, Server Manager log for Slave 1 shows :
wt.manager.jmx.MethodServerMProxy - Error invoking invokeInfoOpInAllLocalMethodServers on com.ptc:wt.processGroup=MethodServers across all server managers at XXX@XXXXX
