Creo View Adapters: Windchill CAD worker fails to start with error "Error:1027: dpgFileNameCreateTemp failed to create temporary name"

Description

  • Attempting to start the CAD worker fails, with the Worker Agent Administration UI status: Fails to start
  • The ProductView Adapters 11.0 or earlier worker logs contain the error:
    • Creo Parametric
proe2pv Error:1027: dpgFileNameCreateTemp failed to create temporary name.
  • The ProductView Adapters 12.0 or later worker logs contain the error:
    • Creo Parametric
proe2pv Error:1027: dpgFileNameCreateTemp failed to create temporary file name c:/Temp/proe2pvo.* because all sequence numbers used.
Please stop all adapters and delete all files of this name.
  • 3rd Party CAD Application (Autodesk Inventor)

Please stop all adapters and delete all files of this name.
  • Error on the worker machine when attempting to start the CAD worker:
Microsfot Visual C++ Debug Library. Debug Assertion Failed! Program: proe2pv.exe. File: fopen.c 
  • CAD worker fails to start with error in Wokre log :
Error:TEMP directory is not accessible
proe2pv Fatal: Failed to open file: <%temp%>/proe2pvo.0
  • Unable to start worker from Worker Agent Administration UI
  • SolidWorks worker fails to start with error sw2pv fatal: Failed to open file: (null) in worker daemon (foreground) console
    • Error sw2pv Error:1027: dpgFileNameCreateTemp failed to create temporary file name E:/Creo_View_Adapters/sw_setup/temp/sw2pvo.* because all sequence numbers used.
      Please stop all adapters and delete all files of this name. observed in worker log.
