Codebeamer Tracker Configuration: Computed field formula including "parent.name" or "parent.parent.name" cannot be saved in Child Project

Description

  • not empty parent.name && empty parent.parent.name computed formula cannot be saved in child/inherited project
  • Steps to Reproduce the issue:
    1. Create a default project and make it available as template
    2. Using this project create a child project:
    3. Go to any tracker in the child project and create a 'bool' type custom field with below formula:
      • not empty parent.name && empty parent.parent.name
    4. Save the tracker configuration:
  • Below error is faced:
  • Could not save tracker properties: null
