Error ”500 500 The call failed on the server” pops up in BOM Transformer in Windchill MPMLink

Description

  • On BOM Transformer, when try to undo checkout on child part getting an error message.
  • 500 500 error message when trying to "Update to Current Upstream Equivalent Object" a downstream Access Node branch, from the upstream EBOM.
  • Error in BOM Transformer is displayed as below
500 500 The call failed on the server; see server log for details
  • Insert Made From in BOM Transformer with Preference Track “Made From” History Through Change Notice set to YES throws error  
    500 500 The call failed on the server; see server log for details
  • Allocate a part to an operation throws error message
500 500 The call failed on the server; see server log for details
  • For example, perform the following steps
    1. Create EBOM then create new downstream branch from BOM Transformer
    2. Open EBOM in BOM Transformer and right-click on top of ebom and Copy
    3. Right click on top at downstream and Paste as New Part
    • 500 500 error above is displayed

    • In the earlier release, such as 12.1.2.0, the same operation gives following error 
      • You are trying to copy a part with the same master and paste this part under the same master downstream. This will lead to circular links.
