Description

  • Release Target for Manufacturing History is blank in Resulting Objects table of Change Task
  • Release Target for Manufacturing History is blank in Resulting Objects table of Change Task which leads to a Rule Conflict due to the OOTB Business Rule "Release Target Rule" which prevents the successful release of the object and "No release target defined for the current state." is shown in Rule conflict:
  • Below are the steps to reproduce the issue:
    1. Create two Parts say Part1 and Part2
    2. Create a Change Notice and add Part1 as Resulting Object of Change Task
    3. Open Part1 in BOM Transformer and click on Set Configuration Specification
    4. Add the Change Task number and click ok
    5. From Editing>Insert Made From, search Part2 and create a Made From Link between Part1 and Part2
    6. Go back to Change Task and in Resulting Objects table, add Part2
    7. Notice that along with Part2, Manufacturing History object is also added which doesn't have a Release Target
    8. Try completing further tasks from Change Tasks workflow which will result into Rule Conflict: No release target defined for the current state
