Inline evaluation to convert range into vector worked in Mathcad Prime 1.0-9.0, but now fails in Mathcad Prime 10.0
Modified: 24-Sep-2025
Applies To
- Mathcad Prime 1.0 to 11.0
Description
- Inline evaluation to convert range into vector worked in Mathcad Prime 1.0-9.0, but now fails
- Inline evaluation of a range variable upon creation does not convert that range into same vector
- Error message:
- These array elements must be scalars.
- This value must be a vector.
- Fehlermeldung:
- Alle Elemente müssen Skalare sein.
- Dieser Wert muss ein Vektor sein.
- Defining an array with
A:=1,2..3orA:=[1 2 3](with cells arranged vertically) should give the same result, but they actually don’t - Range vs vector definition cannot be processed in the same way
- Updating to new version on Mathcad Prime has broken the vectorization step, which worked in the Mathcad 15 legacy worksheet.
- After conversion, the export of a matrix (supposed to be) to MS Excel, and augment function became unusable
- The result of a range definition is no longer a vector as expected
