Observed upload action in background when performing Save action on specific objects although dm_upload_objects is not set in Creo Parametric

Description

  • Upload happens in background automatically when user performs Save on specific CAD models, although config option dm_upload_objects is not set to automatic
  • An Upload operation is shown in event management without showing any signs in workspace after CAD model is saved
  • The hidden Upload caused error in conflict window because many objects are Released and cannot be edited by user anymore
  • Saving specific assemblies or their save-as copies to Workspace shows extra upload in event management which causes extra time taken for save action comparing to the behavior in Creo 9.0
  • When saving a CAD Assembly, Creo will identify a component as modified even if they were not modified by the user, and attempt to upload it
  • Unexpected/Unwanted Upload triggered when using the "Save" action in Creo
  • After saving a CAD object, Creo throws an error in Event Management

  • MethodServer.log has following errors:
    • <user> does not have Modify permission for <xxx.asm> in Administrative Domain
    • ATTENTION: Secured Action. You do not have the necessary authorization for this operation. Contact your administrator if you believe you have received this message in error
  • Client logs contain the following entries:  
    WorkspaceCache: UwgmWorkspaceEditor_i::uploadSynchedContent : THA Upload on save marked to happen in background.
WorkspaceCache: UwgmWorkspaceEditor_i::uploadSynchedContent : there are iterations having content to sync on save. Count :- 1
