Execution of MAPKEY registered to create NCL and post process TAP files is not expected when High Speed Machining sequences are part of the Set selected in Creo Parametric
Modified: 31-Oct-2023
Applies To
- Creo Parametric 9.0
Description
- Execution of MAPKEY registered to create NCL and post process TAP files is not expected when High Speed Machining sequences are part of the Set selected
- Consider a Mapkey with following syntax, asking therefore question to:
- Select the sequence for the generation of the NCL FIle
- Post Process the NCL File previulsy generated
mapkey pp1 @MAPKEY_LABELPost processing;~ Command `ProCmdMfgOpToolPath` ;\ mapkey(continued) #CREATE;monpp;@MANUAL_PAUSESelect the sequence(s);#DONE SEL;#monpp;#FILE;#DONE;\ mapkey(continued) ~ Activate `file_saveas` `Current Dir`;~ Input `file_saveas` `Inputname` `p`;\ mapkey(continued) ~ Input `file_saveas` `Inputname` `pp`;\ mapkey(continued) ~ Update `file_saveas` `Inputname` `pp`;~ Activate `file_saveas` `OK`;\ mapkey(continued) #DONE OUTPUT;~ Command `ProCmdMfgOpToolPath` ;#DELETE;#monpp;#DONE SEL;\ mapkey(continued) #DONE/RETURN;@MANUAL_PAUSELaunch the Post Processor;
- When this mapkey is launched on a Set NOT containing High Speed Machining sequences, Creo Parametric behaves expectedly as follows:
- Generates first the complete NCL File
- Once done, asks the question to start Post Processing phase
- However, when Set contains High Speed Machining sequences (Roughing, Rest Roughing OR Finishing), Creo Parametric unexpectedly behaves as follows:
- NCL FIles STARTS to be created
- But Question to Post Process is unexpectedly asked:
- When Moduleworks is STILL computing the toolpath
- And therefore BEFORE end of NCL FIle generation process
- Above behavior leads in errors when Post Processing Set of Sequences containing High Speed Machining Sequences via the mapkey
