In Creo Parametric 11.0, the default value of some config.pro options has changed
Modified: 30-Jul-2025
Applies To
- Creo Parametric 11.0
Description
- In Creo 11.0.0.0, to improve the display quality and enhance the out-of-the-box experience, PTC has changed the default values for a set of configuration options
- By increasing the default display quality, it is expected that some actions may take slightly longer when comparing Creo 11.0 out of the box to Creo 10.0 on the same hardware
- Internal benchmark testing was performed and the increase in time to perform some actions was determined to be reasonable
- Better hardware will minimize or remove any impact of these changes
- After upgrading from Creo 7 to 11, users generally report slow performance. Compared to 7, the performance is noticeably slower. For example, when assembling a part in an assembly file or hiding a part, the performance is quite noticeable. Given my computer specifications (Z2 G9), graphics card (NVIDIA), and memory (32GB). Would upgrading to 12 be better?
