Modified: 10-Aug-2023

Applies To

  • Windchill PDMLink 12.0 to 13.0

Description

  • Incorrect expansion symbol in Product Family Matrix Editor
  • Expansion symbol is incorrectly displayed behind Part Master in Matrix Editor
  • Steps to reproduce:
    1. Set the wt.productfamily.ProductFamily.enableRevisionRowsFeature to true in wt.properties file using xconfmanager
    2. Set the Automatically Show Selected Revision in Matrix Editor Preference (CS307791)
    3. Create a Configurable Part Structure as shown below:
      • Ensure the Child1 is has a different View other than Design such as Manufacturing which is not included in Default Filter
    4. Create a Product Family Structure which has two different Managed Variant Specifcations
    5. Assign each Variant Specification to a new Variant Baseline using "Assign to New Variant Baseline" action
    6. Assign Configurable Part (Test Conf Part 11) to the Product Family using Assign button:
    7. Add the Part Child1 (which is in Manufacturing View) in one of the Baseline using Baseline Objects tab
    8. Open Matrix Editor
    9. Select both Variant Specifications and click Apply
    10. Unselect Module Variants to clear the existing Module Variants Selection:
    11. Close Matrix Editor
    12. Reopen Matrix Editor and notice the expansion symbol clicking on which does not expand Child1 Part Master
      • The Child1 not getting expanded is expected since Manufacturing View was not included in Filter inside Matrix Editor
      • However, the expansion symbol should not be present at all if the Part is not included or Part Master cannot be expanded
