When defining rotational constraints in Creo Parametric, it prompts: "You constrained a rotational degree of freedom for an entity that does not have rotational degrees of freedom. The rotational constraint will be ignored on those entities"

Modified: 08-May-2025

Applies To

  • Creo Parametric 7.0 to 9.0
  • Creo+
  • Creo Parametric 9.0 to 11.0

Description

  • When defining rotational constraints, it prompts warning message: You constrained a rotational degree of freedom for an entity that does not have rotational degrees of freedom. The rotational constraint will be ignored on those entities. Consider applying a rigid or a weighted link in this situation.
  • In Creo Simulate, adding a rotational degree of freedom constraint to a solid surface, running an analysis gives an error "The model is not constrained enough in this analysis"
