Description

  • Solidworks exits while retrieving specific assemblies through Windchill Workgroup Manager
  • Debug log shows :
    • uwgmapp: UWGM_ADAPTER: UNCAUGHT EXCEPTION IN: uWGMCallbackHanderSW.cxx uWGMCallbackHandlerSW::handleLinkRename
    • uwgmapp: UWGM_ADAPTER: UNCAUGHT EXCEPTION IN: uWGMCallbackHanderSW.cxx uWGMCallbackHandlerSW::openFired
    • uwgmapp: UWGM_ADAPTER: UNCAUGHT EXCEPTION IN: CADSystemSolidWorks preOpenFired
  • After opening specific assemblies the files in workspace shows status "Local files are out of date with workspace"
    • Solidworks may also crash after opening such Out Of Date Files
  • Steps to reproduce the issue:
    1. Add assembly with it's all dependents to workspace
    2. Open the affected assembly in Solidworks
    3. Assembly opens successfully first time in Solidworks
    4. Navigate to Windchill Workgroup Manager's workspace and observe that many files are showing status "Local files are out of date with workspace"
    5. Now with this "Out Of Date" files in workspce, try retrieving affected assembly in Solidworks
    6. Observe that Solidworks will be in "Not Responding" state and will exit prematurely or crash
