Description

  • Find Number not correctly mapped from Inventor assembly with Gathering part (Sub-Assembly)
  • Find Numbers of assembly with a Gathering Part  are not mapped correctly with Inventor Item numbers with the following workflow :
In Inventor
  1. Create 3 new components.
  2. Create 1 new assembly and place the 3 components in it
  3. Create the Bill of Material structured TAB to see the itemnumbers in Inventor
  4. Create 1 new component
  5. Create 1 new assembly (TOP-assy) and place the new component and the 1st assembly (becomes Sub-assy) in it.
  6. Set the Sub-assy BOM Structure from Normal to Phantom
  7. Bill of Material structured TAB will show Item numbers as  1 - 2 - 3 - 4
In Windchill Wokgroup Manager
  1. Checkin the complete TOP-assy, with the Auto Associate option selected
  2. Observe TOP-assy WTPart Structure will shows Find numbers as 1- 1- 2- 3 !!
      
  • The same result will be diplayed when generating Windchill Bill Of Materials Reports of Top level assembly
