Modified: 10-Aug-2022
Applies To
- Creo Parametric 8.0.5.0
- ThingWorx Analytics 9.3.0
- Windchill PDMLink 11.1 to 12.1
- ThingWorx 9.3.0

Description
- Creo Parametric while running in service mode doesn't delete the workspace that was created to run the temporary analysis
- Pre-requisites:
- Creo Parametric should be configured to run as a service , See About Creo as a Service for Analysis
- Checkin the data to Windchill PDMLink, Retrieve the checked in data and publish it to Thingworx
- Related Thing and needed properties for the Thing should be created based on the Creo model
- Analysis Event should be created and respective mapping should be done for the input and output properties
- Steps To reproduce the issue:
- Go to Creo Replay Analysis Manager in Thingworx
- Enter a replay name
- Select the Analysis Event created for the model against the Replay Event picker
- Set the Replay Step Frequency to: On Source Event
- Set the needed time range and select the host on which Creo is configured to run as a service
- Select Continuous on Replay Mode
- Click on Start Replay and provide the Windchill authentication information in the authentication pop-up. See result 7.
- Once the results are calculated, check the Workspaces under the given product in which the CAD data resides. Also check if xtop.exe is running on the host machine
- Observation: The workspace that was created to run the temporary analysis isnt deleted. This leaves behind a running xtop.exe in the background
