Applies To

  • Creo Parametric 8.0.0.0 to 8.0.5.0

Description

  • To define nonmetallic mounting hole, assign MTG to ECAD_HOLE_TYPE and NPTH to ECAD_PLATING_STYLE for hole, then export IDX and import into Cadence Allegro PCB, it displays as two holes, the big one is non-plated hole, and the small one is shown as pad. The pad hole is half the diameter of non-plated hole. For example, if the diameter of non-plated hole is 10mm, the diameter of pad will be 5mm.  How to adjust the diameter of pad?
    1. Create a simple hole and assign MTG to ECAD_HOLE_TYPE and NPTH to ECAD_PLATING_STYLE for hole, then export IDX
    2. Import the IDX file into Cadence Allegro PCB Design
    3. Select menu Setup > Design Parameters, check "Non-plated holes", you can show Non-plated hole
