Description

  • Active Directory Authentication is not case-sensitive for user attributes in ThingWorx
  • Many duplicate users are getting created when the user authenticate via Directory Services Entity in ThingWorx Platform
  • Users that sign-in with different casing in the Username field results in multiple accounts being created in ThingWorx Platform
  • Sign in via LDAP or Active Directory results in multiple User Entities in ThingWorx with different casing
  • Directory Services User signed into ThingWorx as userOne and then later as UserOne, has resulted in multiple User Entities being created
  • What is the status of username casing when using Directory Services in the latest version of ThingWorx Platform? 
    • Will multiple users still be created if a user inputs different casing when attempting to login? 
  • Multiple Active Directory users with the same name but different casing exist in ThingWorx Platform
  • Duplicate users created automatically when logging in with Active Directory credentials
