Description
- “Unable to find valid certification path to requested target” when using cacerts as the Navigate truststore
- IntegrationRuntime requires that a truststore be explicitly defined in IntegrationRuntime-settings.json
- Even when certificate validation is not part of the authentication process (e.g., Fixed Authentication) the IntegrationRuntime code must find a truststore to continue to execute
- The Java cacerts truststore is sometimes specified as the Navigate truststore for convenience
- Java cacerts contains many more certificates than required by Navigate
- Some certificates in cacerts may fail validation
- Self-signed end certificates frequently fail
- This results in the “Unable to find valid certification path to requested target” message
