Description
- There is no way to limit extension name when uploading files through composer or REST API in ThingWorx
- File type limits can be set in FileUpload widget, but cannot be controlled in other 2 methods
- Any type of file can be uploaded when User have access
- There is no limit on extension name when uploading files through composer or REST API in ThingWorx
- Need to limit files which are uploaded to a FileRepository Thing by Extension
- End Users can upload malicious files to the ThingWorx Platform as there are no restrictions on file extensions
- It is possible to upload harmful files to a ThingWorx Platform File Repository
- File Repositories should be able to restrict the file types which can be uploaded to them
- Need to allow only image or document files to be uploaded to a File Repository, all other uploads should be blocked
