Description
- This article tells the reason why associated CAD document and WTPart are unable to be deleted alone and some workarounds.
- Attempting to delete the latest revision of an auto-associated WTPart (i.e. B.1) fails
- [PART] could not be deleted/purged. There are objects associated to it through EPMBuildHistory link
- Not possible to delete or disassociate WTPart with error:
Part - [PART].PRT, [PART], [VERSION] ([VIEW]) could not be deleted/purged. There are objects associated to it through EPMBuildHistory link.
None of the selected object(s) are valid for the remove association action
- Typical use case:
- Check-In a CAD Document and WTPart together with auto-associate
- Revise the WTPart from A.1 to B.1
- Attempting deletion of WTPart B.1 (Delete all iterations) fails with error above
- Disassociate the EPMDocument from the WTPart and check-in
- Attempting deletion (purge) of WTPart B.1 fails with error above
