Description

  • This article tells the reason why associated CAD document and WTPart are unable to be deleted alone and some workarounds. 
  • Attempting to delete the latest revision of an auto-associated WTPart (i.e. B.1)  fails
    • [PART] could not be deleted/purged. There are objects associated to it through EPMBuildHistory link
  • Not possible to delete or disassociate WTPart with error:
Part - [PART].PRT, [PART], [VERSION] ([VIEW]) could not be deleted/purged. There are objects associated to it through EPMBuildHistory link.
None of the selected object(s) are valid for the remove association action
  • Typical use case:
    1. Check-InCAD Document and WTPart together with auto-associate
    2. Revise the WTPart from A.1 to B.1
    3. Attempting deletion of WTPart B.1 (Delete all iterations) fails with error above
    4. Disassociate the EPMDocument from the WTPart and check-in
    5. Attempting deletion (purge) of WTPart B.1 fails with error above
