Unable to set value in a Session variable in Async service in ThingWorx 8.5

Description
- Session variable value can be set using below function in a Javascript service, however it is not working if the service is a Async service:
Resources["CurrentSessionInfo"].SetGlobalSessionInfoTableValue(sessionParams);
- No errors in Script logs, Async service executes but it does not set a value to session variable
