Description
- ThingWorx Foundation Installer fails to connect to Microsoft SQL Server (mssql) database with error:
Connection to Server could not be established, please check the information you have entered.
- Installer cannot connect to Microsoft SQL Server (mssql) database hosted on same server:
- ThingWorx Installer unable to establish connection to SQL Server unlike other tool on same server (i.e. DBVisualizer)
- Correct database credentials are entered but the installer does not move forward
- Running sqlcmd -S localhost\<instance_name>,<port> -U twadmin -k -h -1 -Q "SET NOCOUNT ON; SELECT @@SERVICENAME" from command prompt throws error:
Error: Microsoft ODBC Driver 13 for SQL Server : Data source name not found and no default driver specified.
- Login failed with ThingWorx database user and password via Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio with below error
Cannot connect to Host_Name\Instance_Name. ------------------------------ ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Login failed for user 'xxxxxx'. (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 18456)
