Issues with installing and setting up Arbortext Publishing Engine

Description

  • Starting Publishing Engine (PE) results in error
ATX 8.1 Configuration error "HTTP Status 500 – Internal Server Error"
javax.servlet.ServletException: Attempt to initialize more than one instance
  • Connecting Arbortext Editor/Styler client application fails with error(s)
    [A20447] No composition configuration information is available from the PE server. Possible causes: invalid URL, PE server down, or PE server misconfigured" occurs when trying to compose via Arbortext Publishing Engine (APE) server
The site can't provide a secure connection
localhost sent an invalid response
Try running Windows Network Diagnostics.

  • "PTC Arbortext Publishing Engine Request Failure Unexpected exception"
  • Fresh install, PTC Publishing Engine Configuration won't open, PTC Publishing Engine Test Page cannot be accessed. Tomcat is started
    • Test page error:
    HTTP Status 404 - Not Found

Message The requested resource [/e3] is not available
Description The origin server did not find a current representation for the target resource or is not willing to disclose that one exists
  •  PTC Publishing Engine Test Page links License, Status, Version throw error: CSRF Attack Thwarted. Check the server logs for more details
