Modified: 19-Feb-2026

Applies To

  • ThingWorx Kepware Server (legacy) 8.0 to 6.18
  • Kepware Server (formerly KEPServerEX) 6.0.2107.0 to 7.0
  • DataLogger Advanced Plugin
    • The DataLogger plugin allows users to configure record insertion into a compatible DB through a local 32 bit DSN
      • The target DB does not need to be local, only the 32 bit DSN
      • Records are inserted one at a time, bulk insert requests are not supported
      • No confirmation is received from the DB to ensure records have been inserted properly
      • If no errors are returned through the DSN, the system tags for insertion count are incremented by the number of records transmitted
    • DataLogger cannot be used to retrieve values from a DB
      • This would require the use of the ODBC Client Driver
