PTC.SCA.SCO.PostgresDatabase or PTC.SCA.SCO.MSSQLDatabase Database Thing is not connected in ThingWorx Operator Advisor on ThingWorx Platform

Description

  • Not able to connect to ThingWorx Operator Advisor database
  • isConnected is false for PTC.SCA.SCO.PostgresDatabase thing
  •  Connection to the ThingWorx DB has a isConnected property value of 0 or not connected for ThingWorx Operator Advisor Database Thing
  • ThingWorx Apps is not working as the associated Database Thing will not connect to the Database
  • The backing Database Thing for Manufacturing Apps is showing isConnected as false on Properties and Alerts tab
  • PTC.SCA.SCO.PostgresDatabase or PTC.SCA.SCO.MSSQLDatabase (depending on backing database type) are not connecting to ThingWorx Database
  • Database password changed for the User which connects ThingWorx Apps to the backend database
    • Where should this database password be updated?
  • Database user specified on the PTC.SCA.SCO.MSSQLDatabase Thing keeps getting locked out of the Microsoft SQL Database due to an incorrect password
    • The following error message is logged in the ApplicationLog and ErrorLog files located in <ThingworxStorage>\logs: 
      • [L: ERROR] [O: E.c.q.l.c.Logger] [I: ] [U: Administrator] [S: ] [P: ] [T: TWEventProcessor-15] Error getting database connection com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: Login failed for user 'twadmin'.
