Description

  • Unable to add files in Creo Parametric embedded workspace but able to add in standalone workspace
  • Unable to save new created CAD document in workspace with access error below after upgrading Windchill version
  • User cannot add files in Creo embedded workspace even though he has appropriate access, however adding objects in standalone workspace works
  • Workspace objects cannot be displayed in active workspace in embedded browser, but will be displayed in inactive workspaces or in a standalone browser
  • Failed to retrieve an existing Windchill object through Arbortext Editor 
    • Editor returns error 
      PTC Arbortext Editor with Styler Response: Failed to read Folder<PathtoWindchillObject>
  •  After an upgrade from 11.0 to 11.2 users cannot see their own workspaces on client side but can view files at server-side workspace
  • Specific user unable to open drawing due to error 
    Add to workspace failed and <object_name> cannot be retrieved.
  • Many users observe error when adding certain objects to the active Workspace and the workspace is unusable, while objects are shown in workspace when checking in a standalone browser

  • Add to workspace failed in Windchill Workgroup Manager when user tries to add CAD files to Workspace
    wt.access.evaluation.report <username> - "<username>" does not have Read permission for "User - xxx" in Administrative Domain "Site, Organization - <Organization name> /<Organization name>".
  • When user adds CAD objects and WTParts into workspace, action failed in Creo Parametric with error above shows in Conflicts window. However, objects have been added to workspace when checking the workspace in a standalone browser and there are entries like below about missing Read permissions in Method Server logs with wt.access=All enabled
    wt.access.evaluation.report <user name> - "<user name>" does not have Read permission for "User - Windchill Administrator" in Administrative Domain "Site, Organization - <Organization name in Windchill> /<Organization name in Windchill>".
    wt.access.evaluation.report <user name> - "<user name>" does not have Read permission for "Group - View Only (<Organization name in Windchill>)" in Administrative Domain "Site, Organization - <Organization name in Windchill> /<Organization name in Windchill>".
    wt.access.evaluation.report <user name> - <= hasAccess is false: <user name>, object = Product - xxx (wt.pdmlink.PDMLinkProduct:ida2a2), permission = Read
    wt.access.evaluation.report <user name> - <= hasAccess is false: <user name>, object = User - xxx (xxx: Site) (wt.org.WTUser:ida2a2), permission = Read
  • Some users observe empty workspace in embedded browser, however same workspace is populated when visited in standalone browser Trying to add objects to the workspace shows error
