Receiving Intermittent "503 Service Unavailable" or "The server is temporarily unable to service your request" errors after applying CPS or MOR in Windchill

• Accessing Windchill system is not stable after deploying CPS
• Randomly receives 503 errors after updating CPS or MOR to Windchill PDMLink 11.0 M030 CPS15, 11.1 M010 CPS07 and 11.1M020 CPS03 or later
  • It will work after refreshing Web Browser few/several times
• Different symptoms and errors
  • Access to Windchill requires a refresh of the page on the first attempt
  • Creo Workgroup Manager is loosing connection to the server
  • Windchill Workgroup Manager is loosing connection to the server
  • Users are asked to work offline
  • Unable to upload documents
  • The administrator receives warning emails Site Status Change Notification
  • SiteMonitor reports SERVLET ENGINE NOT RESPONDING

• Creo Worker fails to register Windchill
  • Error message in WVS Job Monitor (formerly Publish Monitor):

proe2pv Error:56113: Failed to register Windchill server "http://<server>/Windchill" "publish1234.tmp" - -4

• Proepublish.bat (manual publishing) registers Windchill on second try.
• Intermittent SERVLET ENGINE NOT RESPONDING errors shown in Windchill server status page
• Intermittent METHOD SERVER NOT RESPONDING errors shown in Windchill server status page
• Sometimes users are unable to log in to Windchill UI with error HTTP response 503, after refreshing the page in the browser, users are able to log in to Windchill UI
• Broadcast configuration fails intermittently after updating Apache on Remote file server.
• WinDu task failed with wt.method.AuthenticationException error
• Occasionally, windchill wt.auth.Authentication command fails with error

• Objects fails to get indexed as it could not be downloaded by Solr

• Option to Preserve HTTP Server configuration files is SELECTED during the update process
• The replica server gateway URL is not accessible when tried using browser. (from the same machine, Windchill machine or any other client machine). Service Unavailable (503) error is displayed in the browser
• Windchill UI is blank, no errors found in Method Server logs
