"One or more value change updates lost due to insufficient space in the connection buffer" is seen in KEPServerEX / ThingWorx Kepware Server when attempting to update properties on ThingWorx Platform

Description

  • KEPServerEX Tags are bound to ThingWorx as remote Properties and some or all of these properties are no longer updated any more 
  • Sudden Kepware Connection broken and Remote Thing property not updating
  • Property update is dropped on Kepware side
  • We have a local Thing properties bind from a Remote Thing, and the bound local Thing property is not updating according to the Remote Thing property value change
  • Logs shows the following messages:
    • KEPServerEX / ThingWorx Kepware Server Event Log
      • Warning         ThingWorx Native Interface    Error pushing property updates to thing. | Thing name = <'Thing Name'>'.
        Information     ThingWorx Native Interface    Resumed pushing property updates to thing: the error condition was resolved. | Thing name = <'Thing Name'>'.
        Error           ThingWorx Native Interface    One or more value change updates lost due to insufficient space in the connection buffer. | Number of lost updates = <number of lost updates>.
      • Error          ThingWorx Native Interface Connection to ThingWorx failed. | Platform = <ThingWorx Host>:<ThingWorx Port>/Thingworx/WS, error = could not initialize a secure socket connection.
        Error          ThingWorx Native Interface Connection to ThingWorx failed. | Platform = <ThingWorx Host>:<ThingWorx Port>/Thingworx/WS, error = unknown error.
