Description

  • Symptom 1:
    • The install.log error
      • Executing cmd /c powershell -ExecutionPolicy ByPass -File D:\Program Files (x86)\ThingWorxAnalytics\Thingworx_Analytics_Server\bin\worker-util.ps1 start 3 Script exit code: unknown signal
      • Processing of -File 'D: \ Program' failed because the file name does not have '.ps1' extension. Specify a valid Windows PowerShell script file name and try again.
    • Error message when installing on Windows 2016 Operating System:

  • Symptom 2
    • installation appears successful but install.log reports

  • No Analytics Things have been created in ThingWorx
  • Analytics Things are not communicating with ThingWorx
  • Error is reported for most twas* services.
  • Unable to start twas-* services from Windows services
  • <ThingWorxAnalyticsServer>\third-party\bin\other\nssm edit twas-edge-ms shows incomplete path to java executable in Path as below:
