Description

  • On object properties page, only enumeration "Internal Name" is displayed instead of "Display Name"
  • Enumeration key is displayed instead of full name
Steps :

  • In Utilities > Type And Attribute > Manage Global Enumeration
    • Right click on Root field and create an "Organizer"
    • Right click on created Organizer field and create a "New Enumeration"
    • Edit newly created enumeration by clicking on Actions > Edit
    • In entries section click on "create a new entry" icon
    • Fill New Entry with an "Internal Name" and a different "Display Name"
  • In a "Windchill Shell" 
  • Add a new column "String" for wt.part.WTPart by using AddColumns batch   :  AddColumns wt.part.WTPart String=1 c:\ 
  • In Utilities > Type And Attribute > Manage Types : 
    • Click on wt.part.WTPart
    • Edit Part type by clicking on Actions > Edit
    • Create a new attribute as String "Standard Attributes".
    • Click on newly created attribute
    • In constraint attribute tab create a new constraint
    • Choose "Enumerated Value in List" as new constraint type
    • Click on "Use existing global enumeration" icon on the newly created constraint
    • Choose previoulsy defined enumeration
    • Save
 
  • In a Product/Library folder : create phase
    • Create a new Part 
    • For new attribute added choose one of enumeration available
    • Finish creation
