Description
- Unexpected error message is given in Creo Parametric 4.0 message area after multiple usage of Reapply Standard in TEMPLATE_LAYER check in ModelCHECK report
Standard layers couldn't be reapplied
- Consider a system configured to run ModelCHECK is Save mode and using:
- template_solidpart pointing to <part_name_template>.prt (full or absolute path in the system)
- E (Error) as setting in Save mode of TEMPLATE_LAYERS check in *.mch file
- PRT_TEMPLATE pointing to <part_name_template>.prt (full or absolute same path in the system as the one configured in template_solidpart config.pro option)
- When creating a new part, all layers are applied as expected
- Saving it does not give therefore any error related to TEMPLATE_LAYERS check as expected
- After that, if one or more layers are deleted, and part is saved again, ModelCHECK Report:
- Identifies the missing layers as expected
- Reports an Error on Standard Layers
- Gives access to Reapply Standard functionality
- When clicking on Reapply Standard the first time:
- Standard layers are reapplied from template solid part model as expected
- Message area gives the expected message:
Standard layers reapplied
- If Reapply Standard is clicked again (once, or even multiple times)
- No change occurs in Layers as expected (because Standard Layers had been already reapplied)
- However, Message area gives an unexpected confusing message saying:
'<part_name_template>.prt ' cannot be retrieved.
Standard layers couldn't be reapplied
