When editing the horizontal offset handles of a Flat Flange, which was privousely copied from a Flat Flange feature attached to the same primary flange just overhead, the handles appear on the wrong opposite side in Creo Parametric 4

Description

  • Copied Flat Flange shape sketcher: offset handles appear on opposite side. This happens when Flange was copied from opposite side of the primary flange
  • Process:
    • new sheetmeetal part
    • create primary flange: planar
    • create a secondary flange: Flat
    • edit the shape
    • change one offset value from 0 to e.g. -10
    • accept shape sketch and flange dashboard
    • copy this flat flange feature
    • paste the copied feature
    • set new reference on opposite side (opposite skin) of the primary flange
    • move the handle which stands for the -10 value vertical edge you created in the original
    • result: the opposite vertical edge of the flange is moving
