Description

  • After suppressing component, Cut Out feature fails
  • Assembly and part setup instructions:
    1. Create simple empty assembly
    2. Create and assemble simple part 1
      • Extrude cube
    3. Create and assemble simple part 2
      • Activate part 2 and create Copy Geometry feature of top, right and front surface from part 1
      • Open part 2 and create circular Extrude feature
    4. Open assembly and create Cutout feature to remove interference of part 2 from part 1
    5. Create and assemble simple part 3
      • Extruded cube, twice the size of part 1
    6. Open assembly and create Cutout feature to remove interference of part 1 from part 3 and part 2 from part 3
    7. Reorder part 3 above part 2
    8. Regenerate assembly
      • Regeration is successful
    9. Suppress part 2
    10. Regenerate assembly
      • Regeneration fails
    • Regularly used by FEA team for analysis purposes
