The bounding box diagonal values for a Creo Parametric family table are the same for all members of a given family in Windchill PDMLink
Modified: 17-Dec-2020
Applies To
- Creo Parametric 3.0 to 8.0
- Windchill PDMLink 10.2 to 12.0
Description
- The bounding box diagonal values for a Creo Parametric family table are the same for all members of a given family
- Bounding box diagonal values are stored in the EPMDOCUMENT table in columns AXD10, AYD10, AZD10, BXD10, BYD10, BZD10
- Bounding box diagonal values are stored in the database with datums considered
- Example:
- A generic with the datum offset dimension as a family column reports a length of bounding box as 3.3350 M in the message log

- An instance of this generic changes the datum offset from 2 to 3 and reports a length of bounding box as 4.2590 M in the message log

- Once uploaded the generic (IDA2A2 = 84186) and Instance (IDA2A2 = 86013) showing the same bounding box diagonal values in table EPMDOCUMENT

- Using these numbers the diagonal is calculated to be 3.334954 meters which is the generic bounding box with datum, reference Calculatorsoup.com - Distance Between Two Points
