DataLoadRouterImp returns "Wrong username or password!!!" in Windchill Bulk Migrator

Description

  • Command windchill com.ptc.windchill.migration.wbm.DataLoadRouterImp fails with the following error in load.log:
DEBUG [main] com.ptc.windchill.migration.wbm.DataLoadRouterImp - In com.ptc.windchill.migration.wbm.DataLoadRouterImp.main
ERROR [main] com.ptc.windchill.migration.wbm.DataLoadRouterImp - (wt.fc.fcResource/0) wt.util.WTException: The operation: "getPrincipal" failed.
Nested exception is: wt.util.WTRemoteException: Unable to invoke remote method; nested exception is:
wt.method.AuthenticationException
ERROR [main] com.ptc.windchill.migration.wbm.DataLoadRouterImp - ....Wrong username or password!!!

  • Single Sign on (SSO) or HTTPS has recently been configured on application.
  • Run the following command windchill wt.auth.Authentication to find out if it is certificate issue or not. If it is certificate related issue then authentication command will throw following error:
DEBUG [main] wt.httpgw.HTTPLogin - Opening URL connection to https://<host-name>/Windchill/servlet/WindchillAuthGW/wt.httpgw.HTTPAuthentication/login
