  • Revised ENOVIA objects have discrepancy in access rights depending on how revise was done: by native ENOVIA/CATIA or by ENOVIA adapter (Windchill) following the use case :

Pre-requirement:

1. There are 2 users (e.g. Product Manager, Member) under the same Windchill context (for example, Product)  and 2 corresponding users (both have Leader role) in ENOVIA.
2. Users work with registered CATIA on different client machines, connected to the same ENOVIA and Windchill.

 Native ENOVIA/CATIA:

1. User1 create a 3D Part and save in ENOVIA (A.1).
2. User2 perform search in ENOVIA, find 3D Part A.1, open, modify and save it as new revision B.1.
3. User2 perform search in ENOVIA. User1 perform search in ENOVIA.

Result:  Both User1 and User2 are able to find both A.1 and B.1 revisions, open them and modify.

ENOVIA adapter:
1. User1 create a 3D Part and check in to Windchill (3D Part A.1 saved in ENOVIA).
2. User2 open 3D Part A.1 from Windchill CS (3D Part B.1 appears in ENOVIA).
3. User2 modify and check in the part.
4. User2 perform search in ENOVIA. User1 perform search in ENOVIA.

Result:   User2 is able to find both A.1 and B.1 revisions, open them and modify.
User1 is able to find only A.1 revision, open it and modify. User1 has no access to B.1 revision.
