Description
- When Creo Elements/Direct Modeling data having invalid character set in Windchill Common Name is opened in Creo Elements/Direct Modeling using Windchill Workgroup Manager, following error Common name contains invalid characters is thrown and opening such data is prohibited

- Users are not expected to continue working with such data as the behavior with such data is unpredictable and may lead to premature exit of Creo Elements/Direct Modeling
- In cases when user receives above error in Creo Elements/Direct Modeling, user is advised to close Creo Elements/Direct Modeling and restart it manually and continue further
- Note that the following cases of invalid character set handling are not part of this fix associated with SPR 5902266
- Components having invalid character set in Creo Elements/Direct Modeling display name/Structure tree name, example given below for drawing components

- Preventing user to rename Windchill Common Name with invalid character set of Creo Elements/Direct Modeling in Windchill HTML UI. Currently there is no validation added to prevent invalid characters on editing
