Description

  • Searching only for XML Tags fails with undefined field xml when using Solr with Search Mode preference set to Advanced
  • For example:
  1. An xml file has the tag <Team>Customer<Team>
  2. preference Search Mode is set to Advanced
  3. searching for keyword xml:Team(Customer) to find all xml files with this tag fails with undefined field xml error
  • Unable perform XML searching method server reporting Solr error:
    org.apache.solr.core.SolrCore - org.apache.solr.common.SolrException: undefined field xml
    at org.apache.solr.schema.IndexSchema.getDynamicFieldType(IndexSchema.java:1330)
    at org.apache.solr.schema.IndexSchema$SolrQueryAnalyzer.getAnalyzer(IndexSchema.java:408)
  • Works when Preference set to simple Search
