Description

  • How to enable Creo Parametric to use auto-numbering when creating new CAD Documents and upload them
  • By default, even when an Auto-numbering policy is used in Context (Product/Library), when new CAD Documents are created within Creo, a filename-based policy is used to generate the number attribute when uploading to the server
  • If importing a local model to workspace and upload, the Number is not generated by auto-numbering.
  • If opening a local model in Solidworks and saving it to workspace, the Number is not generated by auto-numbering.
  • Although auto-numbering is enabled in Windchill, CAD object number will be set to the same as filename if user manually enters filename in Creo Parametric
