Description
- Error in method server logs after successful installation of Critical Patch Sets when Windchill configured with multiple method server
- After successful installation of Critical Patch Sets with multiple method server, method server shows below error:
ERROR [main] com.ptc.windchill.upgrade.instupghistory.service.StandardDatabaseVersioningService - Error while verifying instupghistory wt.services.ManagerException: com.ptc.windchill.upgrade.instupghistory.IUHException: Unable to create a new Installation Nested exception is: com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: Violation of PRIMARY KEY constraint 'PK_WtUpgInst_Installation'. Cannot insert duplicate key in object 'windchill.WtUpgInst_Installation'. The duplicate key value is (5). Nested exception is: com.ptc.windchill.upgrade.instupghistory.IUHException: Unable to create a new Installation Nested exception is: com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: Violation of PRIMARY KEY constraint 'PK_WtUpgInst_Installation'. Cannot insert duplicate key in object 'windchill.WtUpgInst_Installation'. The duplicate key value is (5).Or
Nested exception is: com.ptc.windchill.upgrade.instupghistory.IUHException: Unable to create a new Installation Nested exception is: java.sql.SQLIntegrityConstraintViolationException: ORA-00001: unique constraint (PLM.PK_WTUPGINST_INSTALLATION) violated
- Windchill restart eliminates the error.
- Windchill functionality is not affected.
- Issue not reproducible when Windchill configured with single method server.
- Windchill fails to start after Critical Patch Sets installation.
