Modified: 12-May-2016

Applies To

  • Creo View 3.0 M020 to 3.1 F000
  • Windchill PDMLink 10.2 to 11.0
  • Visualization Services (WVS)
  • Microsoft Windows - All releases
  • Internet Explorer - All releases

Description

  • At Creo View 3.0 M020 or later per user (non-admin) installation of the Creo View Version Checker ActiveX Control (pvvercheck.ocx) is the only installation method supported, llowing installation by a non-administrative Windows user account
  • If Windows User Account Control (UAC) is disabled on the machine the deployment of the ActiveX control will quietly fail, without error feedback from Internet Explorer
  • This will result in repeated requests and attempts to install the ActiveX control, when accessing the Windchill Part or CAD Document Details pages
  • After upgrading the version of Creo View client installed on the Windchill server (through PSI) to Creo View 3.0 M020 or later, the version checker is no longer installed automatically
